چکیده

We present the results of study structure and composition microcrystalline diamonds obtained by high-pressure high temperature sintering detonation nanodiamond particles. Using optical detected magnetic resonance method, photoluminescence spectroscopy Raman we found significantly differ from initial nanodiamonds can be compared to quality diamonds. Monocrystals method oriented attachment have dimensions up tens microns, possess habitus high-quality diamonds, do not contain metal catalysts in lattice structure. In those crystals, presence optically active nitrogen impurities crystal is observed. particular, there a bright nitrogen-vacancy defects. They are characterized which shows that spin properties single crystals correspond natural surpass synthetic graphite catalysts, followed irradiation annealing obtain defects diamond lattice. The allows us consider them as potential candidates quantum magnetometry. For this purpose, possibility simple way improve AFM probe fixing particle on its tip demonstrated. Directly thiolated modification onto the surface of detonation nanodiamonds.

An efficient method for modifying the surface of detonation nanodiamonds (5 and 100 nm) with thiol groups (-SH) by using an organic chemistry strategy is presented herein. Thiolated nanodiamonds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques, and the atomic percentage of sulfur was analyzed by elemental analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The conjugation between thiolated nanodiamond...

Direct synthesis of nanodiamonds by femtosecond laser irradiation of ethanol

Carbon nanomaterials exhibit novel characteristics including enhanced thermal, electrical, mechanical, and biological properties. Nanodiamonds; first discovered in meteorites are found to be biocompatible, non-toxic and have distinct optical properties. Here we show that nanodiamonds with the size of <5 nm are formed directly from ethanol via 1025 nm femtosecond laser irradiation. The absorptio...

Detonation nanodiamonds for rapid detection of clinical isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex in broth culture media.

Routinely used molecular diagnostic methods for mycobacterium identification are expensive and time-consuming. To tackle this problem, we develop a method to streamline identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) in broth culture media by using detonation nanodiamonds (DNDs) as a platform to effectively capture the antigen secreted by MTBC which is cultured in BACTEC MGIT 960, f...

MODIFICATION OF SURFACE AND THE PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF NANODIAMONDS Electron Emission Properties of Detonation Nanodiamonds1

This paper summarizes the results of systematic studies of field electron emission from detonation nanodiamond coatings corresponding to nanodiamond powders of different modifications. The role of the chemical composition of the surface of detonation nanodiamond particles in field emission mechanisms is discussed. Field emission–related electronic properties of single diamond nanodots are studi...
